Christmas may look different this year, but I wanted to keep up the tradition and create a gift guide. This Christmas Gift Guide is dedicated to all things wellbeing/ lifestyle related. I’ve included a mix of beautiful small businesses, some larger retailers and a mix of price points. I basically wanted to make this post one stop shop for Wellbeing Christmas gifts! Whether you’re shopping for a best pal or someone you don’t know quite as well, this should have you covered…
You can’t go wrong with a skincare gift set at Christmas. This year (as always) there’s some really good options that are fail safe, and likely to be suitable for most skin types.
If you are buying skincare for someone else, one thing I would recommend is getting universal products/ gift sets. Stick with things like masks, adding hydration to the skin and cult products – you can’t go far wrong! Some of the brands that tend to do this well are Kiehls, Origins and Pixi.
If you’re creating a little Christmas skincare hamper, a product that really stood out to me was the Corsx Acne Pimple Patches . They’re a completely new concept to me, but one I think a lot of people will be grateful to receive. They’re going to be especially handy over the festive period to get rid of any angry skin thanks to too much gin and chocolate…
Another smaller brand that does the most gorgeous skincare is the Holy Grail Beauty Co. They have a gorgeous cleanser that’s gentle enough to be suitable for everyone. The packaging is gorgeous, and it’s well priced at £12.99. Cleansers are the one skincare product I get through most, so it’s always nice to try out new ones.
Here’s some more skincare gifts sets for 2020 that I think have been the best of the bunch…
Journals are my thing. In January I tend to spend even more time journaling, reflecting and setting intentions for the year, so receiving a fresh journal for Christmas is always a treat. I wanted to share some of my favourites that would make the perfect Christmas gifts for the stationary lover this year…
Journal gifts wouldn’t be complete without Papier. For the quality and designs they are reasonably priced, and you can personalise them so they make for a really thoughtful gift. This year they’ve put together some pre-made gift sets that are really nice if you’re wanting to spend a little more. Another notebook I’ve loved used as a journal this past year comes from NightNavy on Etsy. They sell the most beautiful yet affordable notebooks that you can customise with initials, so perfect for someone you know loves stationary in general.
I recently discovered Sighh after spotting their recent collaboration with The Insecure Girls club. There’s just so many feel good things to purchase from this brand. I can’t think of a better place to shop for your pals this year if you’re wanting to give them a bit of a boost. They have amazing key rings, desk pads, decals (which I’ve ordered for myself) and homeware bits. The packaging is beautiful, and you can order the presents gift wrapped, so it’s a good one if you’re sending presents directly to your loved ones!
This year bath and body products are more relevant than ever. We’re spending more time indoors, and if I ever need an excuse to relax and have a pamper – it’s always new bath bits.
You all know I love Aromatherapy Associates, so it’s no shock that I’m including them here. If you know someone that loves baths and see’s them as a bit of a ritual, they will love the body oils. My favourite is the deep relax body oil, it’s the perfect scent to unwind after a long day. It was created by the founder to address her own insomnia, so if you know someone who struggles to sleep, this might be the gift for them.
Temple Spa is another gorgeous brand, and I love their Dream Stones gift set this year. It’s three soaps with love, peace and joy written across them. They’re also cruelty free, vegan and SLS free. A smaller brand called Native Sister do some really gorgeous pre-made gift sets. I absolutely love the look of the Pure Spa set, it comes with fancy socks (who doesn’t need more socks at Christmas), a candle and white Geode crystal.
Lastly, no good pamper session is complete without candles. I wanted to include some of my favourites in this gift guide because they really are the ultimate gift in my eyes – who doesn’t love candles? The one I’ve been burning most in the apartment lately is the CLEAN Reserve Warm Cotton candle. This has such a fresh, calming scent that’s not too over powering but fills the space. For gifting, fresh scents are usually pretty universal and always go down a treat. Another brand that sell amazing candles is Find Candles. It’s a beautiful small business selling aromatherapy candles that are 100% natural and hand poured. The ‘Ground’ candle scent is my favourite.
This Christmas I plan on spending a fair bit of time reading. There’s nothing better than actually having the time to tuck into a good book in that weird period between Christmas and New Year. Here are a selection of Wellness books I love that would make the perfect gifts this Christmas…
I wasn’t sure what to call this section, but I guess it’s a selection of gifts your wellness loving mates might like! Another gorgeous smaller brand is Sunday Living. They have so many scrumptious homeware bits, but I especially love this little Sass and Belle terracotta plant pot. It would make such a cute gift if there’s any plant/greenery lovers in your life!
This year I finally got a diffuser. Is it necessary, no, but is it a lovely thing to have? Absolutely! They vary in price from around £30 right up to £100. I have this one from Amazon and it works a treat. It provides so much calm to my day and it’s become a little WFH afternoon ritual. A bit of a bigger gift, but one that someone is sure to get use out of every single day.
Anyone into wellness will have definitely heard the hype around CBD oil. It’s been everywhere the past few years and there’s so many products that you can buy with it. The London Botanists do the best selection I’ve seen, the packaging is also super gift worthy!
This year more than ever I’ve noticed just how many non-alcoholic drink options there are, and it’s the perfect gift this Christmas for anyone into health and wellness. Mother Root do an amazing Ginger Switchel that works so well with tonic, making it a great replacement for alcoholic options. My usual drink of choice is a G&T, so it’s nice to have this in the cupboard when I fancy a drink but don’t want anything alcohol – plus it has added health benefits!
If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen me mention The Feel Good Club… Well, they have an online store, selling the very best feel good merch, including a lockdown survival pack. It’s a small business doing amazing things and a gorgeous brand to support and gift to a loved one.
If your friend is into interiors and the latest trends, they need a Pixie Divine candle! Unlike the other candles mentioned in this guide, it’s on scented but more of a decorative piece. They have the best figure candles.
Last but not least, Oxfam have created charity gift cards. Not only are you giving to a loved one, you’re giving to those who need it most too. They range in price from £5, and their £50 gift card means you can provide safe water for a community. I think it’s a genius gift and one that I would be really happy to receive.
Anddd there we have it! Hopefully if you’re looking for a wellbeing gift for 2020 this has given you some inspiration.
