Trend Round Up: Sage Green.

I know the love affair with sage green started last summer, believe me, I was on the bandwagon then. Now so many retailers are catching up, and if like me you have quite a minimal wardrobe it’s the perfect new ‘neutral’ to add a bit of colour to outfits. You know I’m not always one to jump on the back of trends, but every season there’s the odd one that I feel the need to buy into. I recently wrote a guide to buying clothes on eBay, and as much as I like shopping second hand for staples, it doesn’t fair well for trend led pieces (unless you want 2015’s latest and greatest). Seeing all the sage green has well and truly pulled me in. I have a top for summer and this jumper for winter, so I thought I would share the sage green clothing on my wishlist from my favourite retailers at the moment…

A safe bet is of-course teaming sage green with white. Whether thats jeans, tailored trousers – anything. The combination just works and they colours compliment each other really well. I also love how it looks with blue denim, definitely a lighter blue rather than anything too dark though, I feel like the contrast can look a little off. One thing I’ve found slightly harder to pair this shade with is black, I’ve done it a few times but I think it depends on the different styles of clothing. In terms of jewellery, I always wear gold anyway, but there’s something about how gold jewellery sits with sage green that is perfect.

Although you won’t see me wearing everything sage green over the next year, there’s definitely going to be a bit of it here and there. What do you think of the sage green trend?

Yes I love the sage trend, I love how it brings a little colour to a neutral outfit but still nothing too out there!
