The past few months I’ve really started to love everything style related, don’t get me wrong I still love a good beauty buy, but fashion definitely has my heart over anything else. There have been quite a few new additions to my wardrobe for the summer months, so I thought why not do a round up and share my top 5…
My wrist actually feels naked without a watch now, I run back into the house most days to make sure I’m wearing one! A new favourite has been the Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Bondi. Most of what I wear is black, white or another neutral colour (very summer appropriate of-course) so this watch fits my style perfectly. I’ve had Daniel Wellington watches in my collection for over a year now and I’m so impressed with the quality and how timeless the styles are. I’ve well and truly fallen back in love with shirts, I’ve been wearing them with jeans, different trousers, denim skirts, high waisted shorts – everything! We haven’t had many cooler days recently but when there has been more of a chill or I know I’ll be spending most of the time basking in air con, I’ve probably been wearing a shirt. I managed to snap up an oversized white shirt from the Next sale for a bargainous £12, but I also have my eye on this Topshop one.
Before this summer I had one jumpsuit in my wardrobe, and now there’s 4 for me to choose from. I have two favourites, the first being this from Boohoo, I’ve worn this for a day in London and for a wedding reception – it’s that versatile. The same goes for this jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge, it’s perfect worn alone or layered with a t-shirt, and again I’ve worn this with vans or heels. I’m actually on the hunt for the perfect pair of dungarees so I can take my love for a good one piece to the next level – so if you’ve seen any affordable black ones then hit me up!
I don’t think I’ve ever owned a midi dress before this year, but the warmer weather has really spurred me on to try new styles and experiment with dresses. I love how easy a midi dress is to wear, I’m not conscious that I’ll be flashing my bum to the public, and for longer days I know my legs are covered without feeling too warm. One of my favourites has been this polka dot number.
Lastly I have to mention slider style sandals. I absolutely love the look of the YSL and Hermes sandals but I definitely ain’t splashing out £££ on summer shoes. Instead I found the perfect dupes from Zara and M&S. They’re both real leather and I have been wearing them pretty much on rotation for the past few weeks.
