Getting Married, Moving House and New Beginnings.

April really has been the best month of my life – jeeeeze, I feel emotional and we’re not even a sentence in… We moved into our home, got married and went on our honeymoon to Mexico.

I’m still in that happy just married bubble, I can’t tell you how good it feels to finally feel settled. I’m actually in Whitby at the moment, it’s 7am, the sun is shining through french doors into our home for the next two nights, and I just have an urge to get back to blogging. With everything that’s happened I thought a little ramble/ catch up on what I’ve been up to was in order.

I’m in Whitby for a couple of days with Jay (my husband – yasssss I love saying that), his dad and step mum. We’ve been married for just over 2 weeks now, luckily Jay has had some time off work which has given us the chance to get some furniture for our house, and spend some quality time together (and go on our honeymoon obvs). Also, I seriously recommend a honeymoon/ getting away for a couple of days once you get married, weddings really are so hectic and having quality time together to reflect on everything after was perfect.

One thing I haven’t managed to do yet is find a new job in Lincoln. Luckily I’m self employed so I don’t need to jump into a job straight away, but I do really want something even if it’s just part time to meet new people in the area. Having said that, compared to North Wales I’m only a two hour commute to London and a much cheaper train fare, so I’ll definitely be going to more events in the future and hopefully meeting up with more of my fave bloggers which makes me so bloomin happy.

A new blog design is on the horizon, but as well as that I’ve actually changed my social media handles (new email address coming soon). Why all those years ago I decided having ‘xo’ would be a good idea I don’t know… Changing that has been at the back of my mind for over a year and this morning I saw jodie.melissa was available on Instagram and I snapped it up. Thankfully my blog is just jodiemelissa so things should look a little more swish soon.

I’m off to get ready for a day in Whitby now (the airbnb we’re staying in has no milk for a cup of tea, so I’m kind of desperate to get out and find the nearest shop asap). If there is any specific content you want to see in terms of both the wedding and move then I would love to know. These aren’t any of the photos from our photographer, as I’m sure you’ll have guessed, so I want to wait to get those back until I talk about the day in more detail. If you have any questions then please let me know, I have already filmed a Q&A for my YT channel that will be going up at the end of this week but there will be a blog post to go with that too.
