Another year, another Christmas gift guide!
I’m so excited to finally start sharing some festive content… I find gift guides so useful and I’ve discovered some things that would make beautiful gifts this year. I’m going to split it up into beauty and lifestyle, then two different price brackets for each to make it a little easier.
£20 and under
I included a This Work Deep Sleep Pillow set in my Christmas Gift Guide last year, and I couldn’t help myself again when I saw the Dream Team Set this year, it’s a lovely present and bit of a bargain too. Another dreamy gift – you see what I did there? Is the Becca Rose Gold Glow On The Go Kit, I have this set in the shade Opal and it’s become one of my fave everyday highlighters, it’s a good way to gift a highend product without the price tag.
Another beauty gift I love this year is this, it’s a good beauty gift for anyone of any age, and I’ve tried the Buxom glosses before and they’re beautiful. Lastly is two skincare picks, I couldn’t not include this as it’s definitely found its way onto my Christmas wishlist, it’s so cute! A mini that I think will be popular is the Pixi Holiday Glow Tonic, it’s become a cult product and it’s something so many people with different skin types seem to love.
I’ve been using the Panasonic Facial Steamer* for the past 2/3 months and I absolutely love it. It’s such a luxurious step and my skin has definitely been feeling more hydrated since introducing it into my routine. I feel like it’s one of those things that is a real treat to buy for yourself, but as as gift it’s perfect for any skincare lover!
For makeup I have 3 things over the £20 mark. The first is the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Mini Set , I love how for £29 you can try 3 different Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and they come in a handy handbag size too. My new favourite eyeshadow palette is again from Charlotte Tilbury, and it’s the Instant Eye Palette. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful palettes I’ve tried and the shades are perfect for an eyeshadow expert or bit of a novice like myself. Another palette that’s super popular and a little more affordable is the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette, it has so many wearable shades and the pigmentation is unreal.
A beauty treat I couldn’t help but mention is the Iconic Liquid Illuminator in Shine*. I absolutely love this and I know I’ll be reaching for it when it comes to achieving a winter glow, it’s also so much more versatile than I thought it would be, it looks beautiful worn as eyeshadow or mixed with foundation for an all over glow. The shade Shine also works beautifully for the colder months.
£20 and under
I love wearing and gifting jewellery from independent brands and one of my all time favourite places to shop for affordable pieces is Olia Jewellery. Their Winne Star Necklace is one of my current favourites, the mixed metals means it goes so well with everything, and who doesn’t love stars? If you have a bit more of a budget for someone This Stackers Jewellery box* is absolutely genius. It looks beautiful and actually has really useful storage space keeping every items of jewellery safe, placing a jewellery gift inside this box would make a beautiful gift. The tassle earrings pictured are actually from Primark, they were £1.50! They’re on trend and would work perfectly in the box.
There’s always so many pyjama sets that catch my eye each year, and retailers like Debenhams and Marks and Spencers always have them on offer for under £20, this set is my favourite. Another cute sleep related gift/ stocking filler is this eye mask. It’s a bargain and something most people will get use out of. When it comes to accessorise you can’t go wrong with a bobble hat at Christmas, last year I treated myself to a blush pink one from Topshop, and I noticed my friend has one that’s all black which I think makes the perfect gift.
Lastly, it isn’t Christmas Day without a little prosecco, if you know someone that’s a fan then this glitter is going to be winner! *definitely buying for someone so I can enjoy it too*
If you do have more of a budget I feel like it’s always worth spending it on fashion/ lifestyle pieces. The Daniel Wellington Petite Ashfield Watch* hasn’t left my wrist since I got it, it’s sleek and the fuss free design makes it a lovely option if you’re looking to gift a watch this year. The packaging this comes in is also gorgeous and looks really luxe. I also have a 15% off discount code on their website – JODIEMELISSAXO. I wanted to include something a little extravagant as I know quite a few people who get just one big present, so I’ve chosen this Gucci purse . The simple design makes it compact and it goes well with everything. It is expensive but considering it’s Gucci definitely a more entry level price for a purse.
Another rather expensive but super luxurious gift is The White Company slippers. They’re definitely not the kind of thing you tend to splurge on for yourself, so receiving them as a gift is lovely. Lastly, like pyjamas it isn’t Christmas in my house without a brand new dressing gown, an upgrade never goes a miss! Out of all those ones I’ve seen this M&S beauty is my fave, it’s so cosy and blush pink – winning!
I hope if you’re on the hunt for Christmas gifts you have found this useful!
