Armani beauty isn’t a highend brand I usually invest in, the likes of Charlotte Tilbury and MAC usually take it’s place – but, I have a feeling that’s going to change.
A quick disclaimer before I share my thoughts, I was very kindly gifted all of these items to celebrate the new Armani Beauty counter in the Debenhams store in Liverpool. I’ve been testing most of the products for the past few weeks and wanted to share my thoughts on which I think are worth investing it.
If you fancy treating yourself to one thing, I would say make it the Eccentrico mascara. I never thought I would recommend a mascara over the £20 mark with how good affordable options can be, but honestly this has completely blown me away. I’m going to create a blog post with before and after pictures of this which will be up soon so you can see the full effect.
It has a plastic wand with tiny bristles that manage to grab every single lash hair adding volume, length and definition. After just one coat that takes no time at all to build up my lashes look like false eyelashes – seriously. No clumping, transfer to my skin throughout the day or flaking, it’s a winner if you’re looking for a mascara that does everything fast.
The Rouge Ecstasy Shine Lipsticks are gorgeous, I don’t get much wear out of the red shade but I’ve been wearing the nude, 101 none stop and it’s become one of the lipsticks that now lives in the bottom of my handbag. The formulation is perfect, it offers a wash of colour that isn’t too sheer but nice for everyday, it doesn’t look too full on. The shade itself reminds me of MACs Velvet Teddy, which for me is the perfect taupey nude. I’ve always wanted to find something similar to Velvet Teddy that’s more wearable and lightweight for everyday, and 101 is just that.
Another must have for me that I’m actually pretty surprised about is the Luminous Silk Foundation, it’s absolutely beautiful. It offers a good coverage without looking cakey, and it doesn’t look overly glowy/ dewy either making it perfect for my oily/ combination skin. The foundation itself feels lightweight and I’ve found myself reaching for it over my usual Estee Lauder Double Wear Light.
A product that probably isn’t necessary but I have been using a lot is the Eye and Brow Maestro in Copal. It’s an almost matte light brown shade that I’ve been wearing as an eyeshadow, I just use my finger to apply a little across my lid and I love the finished look. It’s quick and easy, adding a little something extra. The formulation is impressive too, it lasts on my oily eyelids all day without budging.
Fragrance is something I’m absolutely obsessed with, I love collecting them and the most recent edition to my stash is the limited edition Si. This fragrance is incredible, my photo doesn’t quite do it justice but the little flexes of shimmer actually leave a glow to the skin which will be perfect for the festive season and for special occasions. It’s definitely a scent suited best for evening wear, and for me the blend of bergamot, cassis and amber make it perfect for the autumn/ winter months.
Overall I’m really impressed with Armani Beauty, the quality of the products is premium without a doubt both in the packaging and formulations. I’m definitely going to be investing in more of their products, I have my eye on the Maestro Glow and more shades of the Ecstasy Shine lipsticks.
