I usually associate pamper nights with the colder months, but to be honest there is nothing stopping me running a bath and relaxing even after a long summers day. There have been a few products I’ve been reaching for recently that make the perfect at home pamper picks…. Expensive spa days step aside!
Of-course I start off with running a bath, sometimes I’ll opt for a Lush bath bomb or bubble bar, but for a real spa like feel I’ve been loving the REN Atlantic Anti-Fatigue Bath Oil*. This has that very typical spa scent – it’s fresh, calming and not only that it leaves my skin feeling incredible soft. It’s a little on the pricey side but you only need a drop, I actually feel like this would make the perfect gift for those that have everything.
Whilst in the bath I like to indulge in a good clay face mask, some of my favourites include the Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mud Mask*, the GlamGlow Supermud Mask* and one that I always go back to is the Una Brennan Salicylic Acid Clay Mask. The Salicylic acid does such a good job at helping to keep my skin clear and fight against breakouts, it’s a must for any oily skin girls out there to keep pores clear, or anyone that is prone to breakouts.
I also like to treat my hair when having a pamper and tend to reach for oils over anything else. Two of my favourites are Moroccanoil and the Grow Gorgeous Strengthening Oil*, I’ll then leave that to work overnight and wash it out in the morning. Doing this 1/2 a week has really helped to keep my hair in good condition.
Although not very glamourous, a little hack that I swear by to keep my skin soft is using good old baby oil. Whilst in the bath I’ll use a body brush and then before drying my skin I’ll apply Johnsons baby oil all over and then pat the skin dry. Not only does this keep my skin feeling soft but I feel like it really does nourish the skin and add moisture. My skin doesn’t feel sticky and I can just pop clothes on afterwards. It’s affordable and works a treat and using oils is something I just love as part of my pamper routine – if you didn’t notice…
Of-course more skincare is involved… After rinsing the clay mask I love using the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist. I had heard so many good things about this before trying it, it’s super pricey but one of those little luxuries perfect for a pamper. It has an almost medicinal smell to me but I absolutely love it, perfect as a pre cleanse toner.
As much as I love using clay masks my skin does need a little moisture boost afterwards. Another favourite of mine that I like to team with a clay mask is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. This is a game changer for anyone with dehydrated/ dry skin as it helps to add moisture and keep skin looking plump and nourished. In the winter I tend to use this 4 times a week and in the summer 1/2 a week as my skin is less dehydrated.
After a pamper I like to wind down with a good book, podcast, or series and spritz the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.
