When I saw that Glamour magazine was giving away a free Benefit Gimme Brow I jumped in my car, drove to Tesco and managed to pick up the last one in the darkest shade “05.” Now I’m more of a blondie it is too dark for me, but I still wanted to write a review as I just love this product, and I will definitely be picking it up in the shade “03” from the range.
What does the Gimme Brow do?
Having good brows has become such a huge thing within the beauty industry, I feel like the Benefit relaunch speaks for that… and I’m so glad because without brows my head pretty much resembles a boiled egg. Naturally my brows have a pretty good shape, but they are sparse of hairs and quite fair so they don’t frame my face by any means. For me the gimme brow manages to add colour and volume to my brows, if you want your brows to look thicker then this is your best friend.
Longevity
Brow products are not something I wanna be touching up throughout the day, so if it doesn’t last then I won’t use it. I have oily skin and my brows look the same 12 hours after applying this. The gimme brow is said to be water resistant, and I agree to a certain extent, in the rain yes, in a swimming pool, maybe not!
The finished look
I never want my brows to look thick full of product or too glossy, I want them to have a naturally groomed look. The gimme brow dries without making my brows look crispy or flat, the finish is really natural and stays that way throughout the day. The formula contains small microfibres that really make a difference adding the illusion that my brows are thicker and more defined than they actually are, this product is just genius. Whether you use it as a brow gel for extra volume on top of other products or alone, if you love your brows then I would seriously consider trying this.
I know it can seem quite steep to spend £18.50 on what essentially looks like a tinted brow gel, but I honestly feel like this is worth the investment, especially as my first Gimme Brow lasted me atleast 5 months and I used it everyday!
