Ahh what a month June has been… I finished university, started my first proper job and got engaged! There is a good mix of favourites this month, from skincare, hair care and some makeup bits. I’ll start off with skincare, I’ve had the Trilogy Rosehip Oil for a while, I have oily skin and was always sceptical about using oils, now I’m just wishing I had used this sooner! I pat three drops of the oil into my skin in the evening for a hydrating boost, the morning after using this my skin looks more radiant and plump. I’ve also found this to be perfect for the warmer months, a little lighter than some of the evening moisturisers I have. The Bryt Essential Serum is also a product I’ve seen fab results from this month, I started using this around 8 weeks ago in the mornings and I love how soft and refined my skin feels afterwards.
I’ve always been a lover of the Batiste Dry Shampoo but I hardly mention it, I have such oily roots and dry ends so I need a little help and Batiste is the only dry shampoo that actually works for me! I love keeping a mini in my handbag, it comes in handy for either adding volume or getting rid of any oil, a little boring, but an absolute handbag gem! On to makeup, I have been loving the L’oreal Cushion Foundation, it is light weight, dewy and blends really well leaving a natural looking finish. Being an oily skin gal I didn’t think this would work for me, but I have been reaching for it on a day to day basis, slightly shocked that it is £14.99, but definitely worth the price and the hype. I posted a swatch of the lipstick on Instagram and everyone went crazy for it, the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve is a very typical me shade, mauve! At first I wasn’t keen on how this felt on the lips, off course it feels much heavier compared to other formulations, but the finish is worth it as it is long lasting and matter than matte!
I’m seriously looking forward to July, I turn 21 and I’m having a joint 21st/engagement party, hope you all had a fab June and have a good July to look forward to!
