I have been feeling slightly uninspired by the traditional monthly favourites system, so each month I am going to be doing a round up of 4 products (specific to the good stuff, makeup!) that I have been loving lately. I was stuck with what to call this little collection up of faves, so for now it will just be “four to try.” I have been testing quite a few new makeup bits lately, I do want to try more base products and I do need a new loose powder (any suggestions are welcome), but for now these are the 4 products that have made the cut this month.
URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER SPRAY
This has featured on my blog time and time again over the past few years, but I just had to mention it again. With the serge of warm weather we had this made sure my makeup powered through it and kept it looking nice. I have oily skin and I usually have to touch up every 4 hours, but when I use this I can go around 7-8 hours without having to powder, I use this everyday now just to make sure my makeup is locked into place. I highly recommend it for anyone that is having trouble with their makeup lasting or is too busy to be constantly blotting or re touching throughout the day.
MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA
In June I had lash extensions which left my lashes needing some serious TLC. This is a repurchase and as soon as I applied the first coat I had rekindled my love for it. This gives my lashes both volume and length without being too clumpy, whilst being supppppper black and lasting all day without smudging, this is the only mascara that has ever managed to tick all the boxes for me.
NYX HIGH DEFINITION BLUSHER: NUDITUDE
This is a really unexpected favourite (which are always the best), I actually meant to pick up the shade Taupe and use it as a contour shade, but this some how ended up in the bag at the end. Finding a bronzer that isn’t too warm toned or dark from a budget brand can be a nightmare, but this ticks all the boxes for me, it is pigmented but still really hard to go over board with and just helps to really lift my usually pale complexion in a natural way, I have been using this everyday since I got it. I can see me hitting pan pretty quickly as its meant to just be a blusher, and I’m basically slavering it all over my face, but for £5.50 I can live with that.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY EYES TO MESMERISE IN BETTE
When you get an email from Charlotte Tilbury saying there it 30% off and free delivery, what else does a gal do other than make a purchase?!? I have to say I was pretty restrained and only went for this, it is a cream eyeshadow in a gorgeous rich gold, it has orange/ amber under tones, making the colour work really well with blue eyes. I love how buildable or sheer you can make this, it can be worn with full pigmentation or if you blend quickly it can become sheer and more subtle. The perfect versatile eye shadow for a summer holiday!
