(L-R, Beaches and Cream, Cocoa Bear, Magic Act)
Makeup Geek eye shadows have taken the beauty world by storm. They are pigmented, soft and the best part of it, they are only £4.95! I was overwhelmed by the selection at first but decided to get three eye shadows that I could use alone for a wash of colour or together to create an evening look.
The palest of the three is Beaches and Cream, a matte cream shade that doesn’t look anything special in the pan, but on the lid it creates the perfect base for any warm toned look. I love wearing this on its own with winged liner, or as a transition shade, a real staple shade for anyone who wears eyeshadow. My favourite of the three is Cocoa Bear, it is a gorgeous rich looking brown with red undertones, perfect for blue eyes. Again it is a matte finish, so I tend to wear this with other shimmery or glitter eyeshadow shades to make it more wearable. Every time I do a smokey eye I always reach for this as my crease shade, I just love it!
Lastly is Magic Act, again a very “bog standard” sort of shade, but honestly, they are what I like. This is a super shimmery gold, worn all over the lid or in the inner corners it adds so much glamour to a makeup look. To intensify this shadow even more I have used a pencil brush and wet it, because it is a foiled shadow the colour becomes so intense and almost looks wet on the lids, it is just amazing! The foiled shadows are a little more expensive at £7.95, but they are so worth it, and I would say much better than the shimmery MAC eyeshadows I have!
I’m so impressed by all three of these eyeshadows and support the MUG hype! I have picked all three of these up from Beauty Bay… What Makeup Geek eyeshadows should I add to my collection?
