- Granted I don't look my best, but I was so happy!
The past 6 weeks have been an absolute whirl wind. I finished uni, moved back home, got engaged, started my new job and turned 21, it looks like 2016 is going to be my year! My 21st birthday party was the icing on the cake, and the last of the fun for now, which in a way I'm kind of glad to have everything settle back down, I'm on a saving money mission and also hoping to really get back into shape, but first I just had to share some photos from my 21st birthday with you to finish off what has been the best 6 weeks of my life.
MID YEAR GOALS
I'm not too strict with goal setting, I won't be beating myself up at the end of the year is these don't quite work out... but there are a couple of things that I keep in the back of my mind that I would quite like to achieve before we reach 2017 (how scary is that, 2017)! There is something about posting goals on my blog that makes them feel more concrete to me, so I just have to share them.
1) Get more of a routine. I have been home for nearly two months now and I'm still without a proper routine, I want to have my blog schedule nailed, be going to the gym atleast 3 times a week, and have proper meals prepped and ready each day. I always feel so much more motivated and productive when I have a good routine, so I feel like doing this will help so many other things just fall into place.
2) Improve my blog photography and learn more about graphic design. I have never considered myself a creative person, I hated art at school and I thought my lack of patience with it meant that it wasn't for me. My love for photography just keeps growing now I have my new camera and lenses, plus I have Photoshop again through work so I'm determined to make the most of it and learn how to use it like a pro, and hopefully start making some amazing things for both work and home.
3) Be more mindful with shopping. This seems like such a small thing, but since seeing a lot about the capsule wardrobe and realising I have a wardrobe full of a lot of things I don't wear anymore (or have never worn at all), I'm starting to realise that I need to buy some wardrobe staples and start to rebuild it up again. At the start of the year I told myself that I need to be more mindful about what makeup I buy - I used to impulse buy and would end up with a £22 lipstick that looked crap on me! Now I do a lot of research and make sure (as much as possible) I'm going to love something before I take the plunge.
Do you set yourself mid year goals? If so I would love to know what sort of goals you set yourself!
